What Size Slippah Should I Get? A Simple Fit Guide

· Slippahs.com

Buying slippahs online is easy once you know how each brand runs. Sizing trips people up because every brand fits a little different. Here is the simple version so you order right the first time.

How a slippah should fit

  • Your foot sits fully on the footbed, heel not hanging off the back.
  • Your toes reach near the front but do not spill over the edge.
  • The strap feels snug between your toes without pinching.
  • A little snug is fine for leather, it breaks in. Rubber and molded pairs feel right out of the box.

Brand by brand: how they run

  • Island Slipper: true to size, medium width, whole sizes only. If you wear a half size, round up. The leather molds to your feet, so a touch snug is good.
  • OluKai: true to size but a touch narrow. Wide feet, size up one.
  • Scott Hawaiʻi: true to size with a roomy, easy strap, good for most feet.
  • Locals: run small, go up a size, especially if you are between sizes.

Still between sizes?

When in doubt, size up. You can always wear a slightly roomy slippah, but a tight one will bug you all day. Wide feet should read our best slippahs for wide feet guide for specific picks.
